2020Poetry of memory: why does Hip Hop need archiving?
If we haven’t heard it, has it ever been played?
In this radio conversation with Kim Dankoor and Quinsy Gario, we will try to figure out how we can or should remember music, protest, and lifestyle that is hip hop.
Discussing what it means to “archive” both on a personal and institutional level, we will look at both power and poetry of memory, sound, image and all that falls in between.
This conversation will be released together with Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee and will be in English.
This is a pre-event for Nederlandse hiphop en identiteit, happening on the 12th of October: https://fb.me/e/1tN5s2PPD
You will be able to hear the show with Kim and Quinsy after the broadcast on Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee’s Soundcloud page:
