KIM moderates a Hip Hop panel at Eurosonic Noorderslag

‘Name your 5 favourite rappers! How many of those are women? Although hip hop is a leading genre in many countries, female and non-binary talent is still underrepresented. What are the roadblocks, how do sexuality and sexism come into play and how can we create a (more) positive environment for those who don’t identify as a man?

During the Women in Hip Hop panel experts Terry Ellmer (creative director, DE), Kim Dankoor (researcher, NL), Beckie Sugden (talent agent, USA -i.a., Noname, Jhene Aiko, Anderson Paak-), Ariez (rap artist, UK), and Randall Span (music director FunX, NL) will shine a light on how the music industry can take responsibility and create more gender equality in the hiphop scene.
